Abraham Solvation Parameter Model: Calculation of L Solute Descriptors for Large C11 to C42 Methylated Alkanes from Measured Gas–Liquid Chromatographic Retention Data

چکیده
Abraham model L solute descriptors have been determined for 149 additional C11 to C42 monomethylated and polymethylated alkanes based on published Kovat’s retention indices upon gas–liquid chromatographic measurements. The calculated descriptors, in combination with previously correlations, can be used predict a number of very important chemical thermodynamic properties including partition coefficients, molar solubility ratios, HPLC data, infinite dilution activity enthalpies solvation, standard vaporization sublimation at 298 K, vapor pressures, limiting diffusion coefficients. predictive computations are illustrated by estimating both the solvation benzene considered current study.

Determination of solvation descriptors for terpene hydrocarbons from chromatographic measurements.
Gas chromatographic retention data on 107 terpene hydrocarbons from the literature together with other data have been used to obtain a set of Abraham descriptors for these 107 compounds. For 88 aliphatic cyclic terpene hydrocarbons, a fragmentation scheme was constructed that allows key descriptors to be estimated just from structure. The total set of descriptors, including those estimated by t...
متن کاملPrediction of Partition Coefficients and Permeability of Drug Molecules in Biological Systems with Abraham Model Solute Descriptors Derived from Measured Solubilities and Water-to-Organic Solvent Partition Coefficients
Modern drug testing and design includes experimental in vivo and in vitro measurements, combined with in silico computations that enable prediction of the drug candidate’s ADMET (adsorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination and toxicity) properties in the early stages of drug discovery. Recent estimates place the discovery and development cost of a small drug molecule close to US $1.3 bill...
متن کاملDetermination of Abraham model solute descriptors for the monomeric and dimeric forms of trans-cinnamic acid using measured solubilities from the Open Notebook Science Challenge
BACKGROUND Calculating Abraham descriptors from solubility values requires that the solute have the same form when dissolved in all solvents. However, carboxylic acids can form dimers when dissolved in non-polar solvents. For such compounds Abraham descriptors can be calculated for both the monomeric and dimeric forms by treating the polar and non-polar systems separately. We illustrate the met...
متن کاملChemical toxicity correlations for several fish species based on the Abraham solvation parameter model.
The Abraham solvation parameter model is used to construct mathematical correlations for describing the nonspecific aquatic toxicity of organic compounds to the fathead minnow, guppy, bluegill, goldfish, golden orfe, and high-eyes medaka. The derived mathematical correlations describe the observed published toxicity data to within an overall average standard deviation of approximately 0.28 log ...
متن کاملEFFECTS OF TEMPERATURE AND PERCENTAGE OF ORGANIC MODIFIER ON RETENTION AND SELECTIVITY IN RP-HPLC USING SOLVATION PARAMETER MODEL
Effects of temperature and percentage of organic modifier were studied on retention and selectivity in RP-HPLC using solvation parameter model. The system constants were determined by multiple linear regression analysis from experimental values in the retention factor for a group of different solutes with known descriptors by computer using the program SPSS/PC. The experimental results showed t...
